Eligibility Criteria for Appearing in Bank Exams

Nationality:
To be eligible, a candidate must be a citizen of India, Nepal, or Bhutan, a Tibetan refugee, or a person of Indian ancestry who migrated to India from one of the following countries: Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or one of the East African nations of the United Republic of Malawi, Tanzania, Zambia, Zaire, Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, or Vietnam with the intention of settling there permanently.
Age Requirements:
For future bank examinations, a candidate’s minimum age cannot be less than 20 years, nor can their maximum age exceed 30 years.
Education Qualification:
Minimum graduation in any field from a university approved by the Government of India is required for this position.

Public Sector and Private Sector Banks
Candidates are hired by the IBPS for the positions of PO and Clerk in the Public Sector Banks. There are 27 public sector banks in India, 19 of which have been nationalised. The two main Private Sector banks are State Bank of India and IDBI Bank.
