Time Management for Banking Exams Sectionally.

Banking Jobs are one of the most desirable jobs nowadays. There are several exams being conducted nationwide for entering into banking jobs. As per the new scenario, in all the banking exams whether SBI PO, SBI Clerk, IBPS PO, etc. Time Management is very much crucial.  Thus prior to start preparing for any exam, it is important to understand the pattern for these exams where sectional timings are necessary to understand and follow.  In this article, we will explain time management for banking exams sectionally. 

Exam Pattern for SBI & IBPS Exams – 

Prelims Exam Pattern

  • Prelims exam is purely based on an objective test which consists of 100 marks. Each question is of 1 marks and also has negative marking for wrong answers with a penalty of 0.25 marks. 
  • There are 3 sections English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability and the total duration of the exam is 1 hour which covers all the 3 sections. 
  • Similarly, the Mains exam is also divided into four sections with multiple-choice questions. There are a total of 155 questions where each question is of 1 marks and also has negative marking for wrong answers with a penalty of 0.25 marks. 
  • In the Prelims exam, Time is the key factor that we have to keep in mind as the time allotted for each section is 20 minutes. 
  • There is no compulsion to solve each and every question in these exams. Try to solve that question first which is easy and less time-consuming.
  • Focus on the familiar questions to solve them accurately to save time.  
  • Don’t attempt a question that is very difficult and time-consuming. 
  • Relax during the exam as in the examination center the atmosphere is not comfortable because of the stress of the exam, so don’t think too much, just breathe and relax. 
  • Extra time in hand ensure for backup to go through all the questions which you have attempted to avoid any mistake done before.

Preparation And time Management tips for SBI & IBPS Prelims Exams –

  • Make a study time table for all the individual subjects. 
  • Divide the time as per topics. 
  • While solving the questions have the habit to keep a stopwatch to track the time taken during each question. 
  • Pick the easy topics first and then move to the difficult ones.
  • Revise regularly to improve memory for preparation of each topic subject wise.
  • Better to learn easy smart tricks to solve questions.
